Various views, good shots of the thousands of crosses of the war graves in the cemetery of Douaumont Ossuary at Verdun. VS The Night Watch ceremony at the cemetery attended by de Gaulle. The place is lit by flaming torches. Veterans carry ceremonial torches and bonfires burn.
VS The following morning and General de Gaulle arrives for the ceremony standing in an open top car. Mass is said for the dead in the battle of Verdun and the dead of both World Wars watched by veterans, widows and crowds at the Douaumont Ossuary.
